Perth & Kinross Office Accommodation

Kinnoull House Limited, a joint venture between Morrison Construction and The Royal Bank of Scotland, has successfully completed a deal to design, build, finance and operate office accommodation to pull together 716 local authority employees under one roof, and a 555 space car park at Kinnoull Street Perth. The deal represents the first local authority office project under the private finance initiative in Scotland. Planning permission for the project has been granted, and although construction is not due to start until the summer, archaeological work on the site is underway with completion expected by Autumn 2000.

Almond Valley and Seafield sewage treatment

Stirling Water Seafield Limited was successful in its bid for the UK’s largest water and sewage PFI, including the provision of facilities to meet European waste and water purity and sewage sludge disposal regulations. This project is the UK’s first water project to be financed by way of a bond issue on the capital markets, with a £79.3 million proportion of the cost covered by a guaranteed bond issue and the balance met by a combination of subordinated debt and equity provided by the Sponsors – Thames Water, MJ Gleeson and Montgomery Watson.
