Welcome to the long awaited fifth edition of ‘PFI SCOTLAND’. Now the election has passed we hope to resume a quarterly issue of this newsletter which aims to:-

  • provide information of business opportunities in relation to PFI projects;
  • disseminate information on projects, project contacts and published information;
  • help to develop a PFI Network to ensure that information and experience is shared and costs minimised.
 
CONTENTS
THE PRIVATE FINANCE UNIT (PFU)
The PFU is a small unit within The Scottish Executive Finance Group that aims to provide guidance and support to both the public and private sectors on PFI in Scotland.

April saw the departure of Alan Seywright, Deputy Head of the PFU for a period of almost 2 years. Many of you will have come across Alan at some time in his Civil Service career, either in PFU or in his previous life as Project Manager for the M6 DBFO – I know he will be missed. We wish him well in his new career. The position of Deputy Head has now been filled by Stephen Woodhouse.

Fiona McLellan has also recently joined the Unit and will be the first point of contact for general enquiries: -
