MoneySupport Schemes

There are a variety of support schemes available to Scottish farmers. Further information can be found by following the links.

  • Cross Compliance - Details of the statutory management requirements necessary to receive the Single Farm Payment, including the obligation to keep land in Good Agricultural and Environmental Condition (GAEC).
  • Energy Crop Scheme - Details of the aid that will be paid for areas sown in crops which you are growing for the production of energy products and which meet the scheme conditions.
  • Integrated Administration and Control System (IACS) - This governs all applications to the SFPS and Cross-Compliance regulations. You must comply with its rules to receive payments
  • Land Management Contracts - Now closed to new applicants, the LMCMS offered a range of management options from which farmers and crofters could choose those that best met their individual requirements. This scheme marked a new approach to land management in Scotland.
  • Less Favoured Areas Support Scheme (LFASS) - This is a per-hectare payment designed to contribute to the maintenance of a viable rural community by providing support for continued agricultural activity and sustainable farming systems.
  • Protein Crop Premium - If you grow protein crops you can claim payment of the PCP
  • Scottish Beef Calf Scheme - As part of the Single Farm Payment, the Scottish Ministers have implemented a beef national envelope. This will support the supply of quality Scotch beef and protect the environment.
  • Single Farm Payment Scheme - This was introduced in 2005 as part of the CAP Reform agreement, and replaces the old production-based support schemes.
