The Sustainable Transport Team has two core roles:-
- to provide advice to Scottish Ministers on sustainable transport; and
- to work with our partners on minimising the adverse impacts of Scottish travel through modal shift and cleaner vehicles and fuels.
The team also takes forward general issues on modal shift, transport and planning, energy and climate change/ambient air quality.
We administer a range of budgets on walking, cycling and travel planning and we work with other colleagues across the Scottish Government, particularly in Education, Health, Environment and Planning.
