Social Workers Posts and Vacancies
In October 2007, there were 4,986 WTE filled social worker posts in Scotland's local authorities, and the total number of vacant social worker posts was 399 WTE. As a result, the percentage of all social worker posts that were vacant in October 2007 was 7.4%.
Note: In 2006, different counting methodology used to eliminate double counting of staff covering for absent staff. Therefore 2006 figures are not comparable with previous years.
