CONSULTATION ON THE WELL-BEING AND WELFARE OF SCOTLAND'S VETERANS AND FORCES' COMMUNITIES

The Scottish Government has launched a consultation with key stakeholders on its approach to delivering services to armed forces personnel, veterans, and their families, for example in areas such as in healthcare, housing, education and transport. The Government believes that it is important that those for whom these services are intended are involved in this discussion at this early stage.

The Discussion Paper set out, for each broad policy area, some context i.e. what the Scottish Government is already doing; actions that it intends to implement; and a series of proposals on which further discussion is required.

This consultation closed at the end of August 2008.
