Consultative forum

A consultative forum of older people's organisations has been established. The Forum's role will include assisting in developing and monitoring an ongoing strategy for older people in Scotland, and providing a sounding board for policy thinking in specific areas affecting older people.

The forum is chaired by the Deputy Minister for Health and Community Care.

Membership comprises the following:

Together its members represent a large number of older people. Other people will be co-opted from other organisations as required for specific topics. The Forum meets four times a year. The first meeting was held on 12 February 2002. The papers and note of the last meeting are posted here.
