Fire

Fire fightersFire and its consequences are a threat to public safety, affecting lives and destroying property.

In Scotland, many people continue to die or suffer serious injuries due to fire, and whilst these figures have reduced over recent years, many more deaths and injuries could be prevented.

Prevention is seen as the key to reducing fire deaths and injuries. and a national awarness campaign has been developed to help promote fire safety.

Scotland has a network of eight fire and rescue services in place providing national coverage.
