Education can play a pivotal role in challenging sectarian attitudes and religious intolerance. Work is under way in schools to help pupils learn from each other, and to support them in breaking down any barriers they may feel exists between themselves and others.
This work includes promoting opportunities for twinning between denominational and non-denominational schools; supporting and funding anti-sectarian projects in schools, colleges and universities; developing anti-sectarian materials and web-based resources.
