Management of Offenders - National Support Team (NST)

The National Support Team (NST) was established in December 2005 to facilitate the significant changes in culture and joint working practices which underpin the Management of Offenders etc. (Scotland) Act 2005. This temporary group was remitted to lead a culture change programme with a particular focus on the development of the Community Justice Authorities (CJAs).

This group completed its programme of work in October 2007.

Membership

The NST was chaired by Professor George Irving and the membership of the core team included representatives from:

  • Association of Directors of Social Work (ADSW)
  • Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA)
