This booklet is intended to provide adult witnesses who have been identified as vulnerable under the terms of the Vulnerable Witnesses (Scotland) Act 2004 legislation with information about the use of special measures. It is important to note that adult witnesses are not automatically entitled to use special measures and it will ultimately be for the court to decide.

Information for Children, Young People and Adults - Witnesses in Scotland website

The Witnesses in Scotland website will be useful to anyone who has been asked to be a witness in criminal proceedings or childrens hearing court proceedings. The site has separate areas specially for children, young people and adults. Each area includes information on being a witness, going to court and giving evidence.
