Houses

Whether it is by doing the gardening or housework, the National Physical Activity Strategy recognises that the home provides an opportunity for people to be physically active. Being active is especially important for adults in later life in terms of retaining strength, postural stability and for overall mental health and well-being. For the very young, the home provides a safe environment for children to develop motor skills and positive attitudes to physical activity from birth.
