Strategic Framework

The Strategic Framework for Food and Health titled 'Eating for Health - Meeting the Challenge' (2004) has been developed through dialogue and discussion with partner organisations and builds upon the strategic framework outlined in 'Improving Health in Scotland - the Challenge'

Improving Health in Scotland - the Challenge (2003)

Eating for HealthThe Scottish Executive will use this strategic framework as the basis of an ongoing and active consultation with the members of the Scottish Food and Health Alliance.

This framework aims to add to the 'Scottish Diet Action Plan' (1996) by establishing a joint implementation strategy with delivery partners for its further and ongoing implementation.

The framework will act as a bridge between the Scottish Diet Action Plan' (1996) and emerging future strategic directions lead by the Scottish Food and Health Council.
