Established: 14 November 2005, following commencement of section 17 of the Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) Act 2004
Terms of Reference: On 14 November 2005, the Scottish Government brought into effect some important changes in the law to help children and young people who face the biggest barriers to learning. Where a child or young person with multiple or complex needs, requires support from agencies other than the education authority, the provision to meet these needs will be set out in a co-ordinated support plan. These Tribunals hear references (appeals) brought by parents or young people about certain matters relating to co-ordinated support plans.
