Greener Scotland Board

The Board has been established to help the Scottish Government achieve its Greener Strategic Objective - to improve Scotland's natural and built environment and the sustainable use and enjoyment of it.

The Board brings together internal and external representatives to take advantage of their collective knowledge, different perspectives and practical experience It will operate at a strategic level in an advisory role, meeting quarterly, with a remit to:

  • Keep in touch with progress towards the three greener national outcomes offering challenge and support
  • Identify long-term challenges and choices, by illuminating the bigger picture
  • Explore ways to develop strategic capacity and continuing improvement, overcoming barriers and offering solutions
  • Input to communication of these issues.
