Simplifying the Landscape: Consultation on proposals affecting the Deer Commission for Scotland (DCS)
On January 30 2008 the First Minister announced a series of actions to simplify the landscape of service delivery in Scotland.
The News Release, and associated documents can be found at:
http://www.scotland.gov.uk/News/Releases/2008/01/30142848
The announcement included a proposal, subject to consultation, to merge the functions of DCS into Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH).
As part of this consultation we are seeking the views of all interested parties on the implementation of this proposal.
The consultation has now closed. Our intention is to capture respondents' views in a summary report. This will be used as the basis of advice to Ministers.
The report, containing a broad summary of views rather than named responses, is now available by selecting Reports from the left hand column of this page.
