O Halon Decommissioning Leaflet

This leaflet, published in August 2003, provides guidance on the phase out of Halon. Under EC Regulation 2037/2000, the use of halon in Fire Protection Systems is, as of 31 December 2002, prohibited and equipment containing halon must be decommissioned by 31 December 2003. The leaflet provides advice on the training of halon handlers, the recovery and recycling of halon and on critical uses of halon.
