Football Banning Orders

Football abuse, bigotry and hooliganism are disgraceful stains on our national sport and our country's reputation at home and abroad. No one should be subjected to intolerance, prejudice or violence in 21st Century Scotland.

To tackle this inexcusable behaviour Football Banning Orders were introduced in Scotland on 1 September 2006. They can ban you from attending all matches in Scotland, the rest of the UK and abroad for up to 10 years.

The introduction of Football Banning Orders is a major milestone in the Government's efforts to rid Scotland of football hooliganism and sectarian bigotry
