This joint consultation seeks views on the European
Commission's proposed New EU Chemicals Strategy. In
October 2003 the Commission adopted proposals for a new
regulation controlling the manufacture and use of chemicals
and the import of chemicals into the EU. This consultation
seeks views on the Commission's proposed Regulation and on
the initial approach of the UK Government and the Devolved
Administrations of Scotland, Wales and Northern
Ireland.
