Housing and Anti-Social Behaviour: The Way Ahead
INTRODUCTION
Tackling anti-social behaviour as it relates to housing is a high priority for the Scottish Executive. There are already extensive powers available to housing managers to deal with these problems. This paper summarises these powers and outlines the further research and policy development work that is currently underway.
In Partnership for Scotland the Executive undertook to consult on new ways, such as housing tribunals, of dealing with harassment by landlords, eviction proceedings, unfit conditions and enforcement of repairs. This paper sets out some key issues relating to housing tribunals and invites comments.
