A consultation on a proposal making use of powers contained within the Railways Act 2005 to make an order to create additional categories of closures that are eligible to be treated as minor modifications. The consultation will seek views on creating two new categories of closure that would currently be required to follow the full closure process. The two categories are station relocation and the reduction of a multiple track railway that runs through a station to a minimum of a single track.
