This class of information covers contemporary issues such as social inclusion, equality and volunteering as they affect people, both old and young.

In particular, strategic information on the following is available:

  • Social Work Services, which includes Funding Sources to Support Workforce Development in Social Work Services.
  • Equality, which includes strategies relating to age equality, disabled people, gender equality, Gypsies/Travellers, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality, mainstreaming, Faith and Race Equality, Refugees and asylum seekers, and Violence against women.

  • Broadband for Scotland - advice and information on initiatives to provide broadband throughout Scotland.
  • The Kerelaw Independent Inquiry - information published in relation to the enquiry into abuse at the Kerelaw school
